Had call from teacher yesterday saying my DS has had complete personality change in class over last few weeks - has been fighting, disruptive in lessons, told new reception girl he would kick her head in (completely out of character) and then when on his own with same girl in quiet room he showed her his willy! Has been fine at home but is now grounded and no TV for week. Any ideas?

Have there been any changes or disruptions to his life recently? Any possibility he could be having trouble at school like finding the work too hard or having a fall-out with friends? Did anything happen over the summer holidays that could be contributing? (I'm no expert but my mum's an ed psych so always talking about these things). Have you tried talking to him, asking him if there is anything wrong and that he can tell you anything and you won't get cross? It sounds like he might be trying to deal with something.(or he could just be testing the boundries and being grounded and no tv will be enough to stop the behaviour!).
Good luck!

Don't suppose he was left somewhere new two weeks ago, experienced something that upset him ?

Thanks - but he has been fine elsewhere and no problems. Only thing I wonder about is whether its because he is now in the older half of a mixed years class and has suddenly realised he isn't the bottom of the pile anymore. Have had long chat with him but cant find any answers. Hopefully it was just a bad week!

Maybe - he needs to act the role of a bigger / stronger one now perhaps ?

Hmm, I'll just bump for someone who might have more useful advice for you !
