My ds, is 8.5mo and soooo fidgety at night, feeding more or just not staying asleep and having a moan. Not crying as such but moan

My dd is just 8 months old and her 2 naps have both gone really short and she's taking longer to go off at night. She is also a bit more unsettled at night, not crying or moaning really, just fussing around really.

My first dd was a terrible sleeper who gradually got a but better, dd2 has always been an amazing sleeper but funnily enough her sleep habit are gradually becoming similar to dd2.

I have no advise and am at a loss as this only started out of the blue.
Up until this last 5 days, dd was napping an hour in the mooring, then 1.5-2hrs in the afternoon, even longer sometimes. Now the pm naps is 30-40 mins. I am wondering whether she needs more time in between her naps in order to sleep for longer. Who knows!

Ha! We're still going through it at 10m. The other night he was awake 6 times, he has just sprouted his two top teeth though so that might have something to do with it. I feel your pain.

DS is now a toddler, but I remember the 9mo sleep regression. We had a couple of weeks of dream feeding and letting him join us in bed when he woke much earlier in the mornings. This was the main way we got through, dream feeding worked for us to stretch out the night waking and then joining us in the morning meant he went back to sleep and we got some rest, even though I wouldn't be fully asleep at that point (light sleeper and worried about DS!). It passed after those few weeks and his naps changed, in that they became quite set whereas before he seemed to nap whenever - he'd have a short after breakfast nap, a long after lunch nap, and then a short pre-dinner nap. Over time this changed, dropping the morning nap first by 1yo, and then the evening nap, but also lengthening the after lunch nap which he still has for 2-3h at 22mo. And it was the last sleep regression, so that's good! (no idea if there are supposed to be more but we haven't experienced any)

He groans in his sleep bless him, almost crawling properly, he does the caterpillar move! And I think cutting another tooth? He's got two bottom ones.

I've fed him twice since 7pm already, just comfort I think, just hope he gives me a few hours now as I feel wiped! I do enjoy the extra snuggles but very tired mama the past few weeks.... (Years lol)Wink
