...have you noticed any change in their behaviour at home?

DS1 has gone from being a polite, happy, enthusiastic child to a stroppy, whingy, contrary nightmare!

He has settled ok at school with the occasional wobble. He enjoys the activities but struggles socially I think. We have parents evening next week so will find out more then.

Is it just us??

No, not just you! We've also changed our childcare arrangements and whilst dd seems to love it, she's a horror for us at the weekend. I think it's just exhausting being good all the time and so they play up at home.

Definitely not just you!!!! DS is hyper, loud, stroppy, whining all the time & very definitely contrary!

It is driving us mad but we keep trying to remind ourselves he's had a huge change in his life, he is only just turned 4, was still napping occasionally before starting school & is just completely worn out with it all. Didn't stop us breathing a huge sigh of relief when he went to bed tonight though! Wink

Oh good, it's a relief to know we're not alone!

Yes, bedtime came as a huge relief tonight.

We are being very understanding and giving him lots of love - even when he is being super-stroppy - but it is incredibly draining!
