Hi,
I am a GCSE student (Y11) and need some help in answering some questions. It is for a controlled assessment which contributes towards my Textiles GCSE, specifically the Design section, where I have been given the task of designing a child's toy or plaything. I have chosen to use toddlers as my target market and of course, mums play a massive role in a young child's life so it is here that I need your help. The questions are about your child's toys and the answers are completely anonymous, simply research to learn more about my target audience. Thank you to anyone who completes it!
Ella

Hi Ella,

Can I suggest that you use a free survey site like Survey Monkey rather than put your questionnaire in your post. It would make it a lot easier for people to fill it out, and it would also do the analysis for you.

Also, there is a particular section of Mumsnet that these kinds of requests are made in:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/surveys_students_non_profits_and_start_ups

You could post there again, or ask for this post to be moved there (click on "Report this post" and then ask for it I be moved to that section).

My toddler's favourite textile based category doesn't seem to fit with question 1 - he likes stuffed animals, but the ones we have aren't based on popular book / tv / film characters.

They're just generic monkey / sheep / rabbit + a few other animals.

  1. c
  2. a, b & c! Thomas the Track Engine
  3. No one place - I go for price and availability, so ELC, Amazon, Argos and Toys R Us in equal measure.
  4. a, c & f
  5. None of the above, but if I had to choose from that list, it would have to be e

You may want to consider adapting some of your questions (3 & 5 in particular) as they can be a tad restrictive.
