DD does five afternoons a week – 12.15 to 3.15, which means I tend to keep her in her PJs (I don’t want to get the uniform dirty) until she has a ridiculously early lunch at about 11.15. Then when she’s high on calories, excited and bouncing on the bed I have to try and wrestle her into full uniform, coat, shoes, school bag, book bag and be out of the door by 12. She’s always hungry after school, too, which means she’ll need feeding then, as well as at dinner, with us – so effectively she’s having four meals a day. It all seems a bit dysfunctional! Anyone manage a better routine than this with these kind of hours?
