10 wk old colic(?) got worse

I have a 10 wk old DD who was elective c-section as she was breech, she is breastfed. From about 4 weeks she started to get unsettled in the evening between about 6pm-9pm, we have taken her to the chiropractor from early on (about 2 weeks) because of her being breech and so her unsettled (maybe colic?) session is never really unconsolable, we just use a dummy and cuddle her whilst watching telly. She still gets a few moany moments between that time and we are unable to put her down.

However for the last few nights she has now started to have a terrible spell in the middle of her 10pm feed (which is a bottle of expressed milk), she really screams and sounds like she is in terrible pain and it can take a really long time to settle her, sometimes she will kick off all over again. She is well burped throughout the feed, so I am not sure that it is that. Everything is the same as it used to be, not sure why this has started.

Appart from this spell she is virtually the perfect baby.

Has anyone been through anything similar, any ideas?

Many thanks for any advice

really feel for you. Going through the same with my 9 week old (altho she is ff - i'm a big bf failure) haven't found the cure yet, but I'll keep you posted. It seems to lesson the effects if she is well entertained and slept throughout the day with as little time as poss spent in moses basket. Its almost as if at such a tender age she knows its her bed and only wants it a BEDTIME. Tried infacol, gripe water etc to no avail she burps ok anyway. I'll keep on trying (and praying for the 12 week miracle!!)

hi springle
it is not uncommon for babies to want to cluster feed in the evenings which may be why she is unsettled between 6-9ish. Although you say you're fine using the dummy maybe it's worth just feeding her when she wants it and then cutting out the 10pm feed?
When my ds was that small I kept him with me and he went to bed when I did which meant that I didn't have to disturb him for a last feed.
