my dd, 2.5, has just the most awful fingernail/blackboard-type screech whenever everythings's not 100% her way, especially when ds, 5, is around. Whilst on hol the German man above us even ventured to suggest 'das ist not normal' when complaining about the noise (cheeky blighter). How do I get her to stop? Tried ignoring it but when out and about I feel I can't.

dt1 did this, he is 18mnths. we introduced the naughty step. He was a bit young for it but got the idea perfectly and stopped it! i think he got fed up with being sent off to the step every time he screamed - might be worth a try.

Yours cant have the most awful scream!

Mine has!

When she was born the midwife went to get a doctor because her crying was so high pitched that she thought there was something wrong!

She has screamed like that ever since, she is 2.4 now!! She screams about everything, im hoping it will get better as she learns to talk better.
