My boy usually sleeps every four hours. He's still breastfed, eats well and has recently it two teeth. He's been fine but moans in his sleep the past two weeks on and off. Sometimes for milk then others just fidgets himself awake.

???

You'd think I remember as he's my third baby in four years lol

9 month Sleep regression.

Is he about to crawl?

littleraysofsunshine · 30/09/2014 20:50

He tries, and does the rocking. but not crawling yet. I thought it was more teeth coming.. but he just has some nights disrupted, others ok ish. like he went to bed at 7:10ish, already stirred and fed just now. he just needs comfort some nights. which i dont mind, but literally every hour last night. not crying, just fidgeting himself awake!

Mine is almost 8 months, some email thing I got sent reminded me they start to have nightmares now! Shock Could be that? Or if he's sleeping on a good schedule, neurofen for teeth half he before he goes to sleep?

littleraysofsunshine · 01/10/2014 17:09

I remember my girls doing this too but wow am I tired. Last night was rough again..it's as if he sleeps then he forgets I'm not with him. Then sometimes I can tell it's teething related. Or when he seems constipated.

Soooo tired and headachey!

Mine did this right before he started to crawl.

littleraysofsunshine · 02/10/2014 21:57

He has been trying! Just as if he wants a hug in the night sometimes. Or can maybe hear us fidgeting? Other room isn't an option though

Ds is exactly 8 months and is waking 5-8 times a night between 7-7. He too is in our room as I am too lazy to get out of bed!!
I think at this age they have it all going on. He has teeth coming everywhere, just learnt to stand up etc. he spends half the night thrusting his hips up and down lol!!!

littleraysofsunshine · 19/10/2014 22:28

My boy does too! And im awake at each flinch!!!

This is so interesting. My just 8 month old is having similar sleep regression. Notably v hungry at night having formerly gone through without milk. Different to earlier teething trouble. He is just on verge of crawling, sort of there -ish, so v glad to know this is related. I was putting it down to badly timed naps or wrong balance of milk/solids - probably wrongly!

Aherdofmims · 21/10/2014 08:00

Coming back to report my ds slept miles better last night having stayed awake from 2 til 7pm bedtime. He woke for feed oonce at 10 ish and that was it til 7 am. Other nights he has refused to sleep til 10 and/or woken multiple times including at 5 and sometimes 2 am.

I am aware this may nor work for others whose dcs get overtired but my dd was v similar. However it was only possible as my mum was there to help him "rest" in her arms rather than sleep just before dinner.

littleraysofsunshine · 21/10/2014 10:35

My boy went to bed at 8, fed at 10:30, then decided it was time to fidget from 3:45-5:15.... He was asleep though. But babbling in his sleep. Restless arms and legs then fed a little then fidgeted back to sleep Shock tired! Then be wakes up all smiles and innocence wondering why I look like crap lol

Is he def warm enough? Just because our one year old had this whole moaning, disturbed type thing last week, we added a sleeveless vest and the problem disappeared. The thermometers said it was the same temp as before but it felt colder nonetheless and we hadn't thought of putting another layer on him.

Aherdofmims · 21/10/2014 18:49

I have tried adding more covers. Last night he was hot at one point - at least he was fidgeting but stopped when i took a cover off.

littleraysofsunshine · 22/10/2014 15:45

He has a vest, baby gro and a few blankets and mini quilt. Temp seems ok. He literally senses I'm in the room I think! Then just crawls in his sleep

I have counted crawling in sleep as being asleep before and just used ear plugs.
