Greedy Gorillas
Hungry Dinosaurs
Ludo

They need to be fairly simple and not last too long!!
Orchard Games do lots of fun games that are educational too - my DCs always enjoyed those.
Mouse trap is a disaster for little ones - it takes hours to set up, ages to play, and is prone to be knocked over half way through Grin
Lego do some good games you have to build first.
Not board games exactly, but ELC used to do lots of games which involved 'fishing' for things or hitting things etc - much more fun for little ones Wink

My four year old loves most of the orchard games, our favourites are shopping list, animal safari, and gingerbread man. She also loves snakes and ladders (actually the massive peppa pig version which is shorter than the original). To be honest, we have a lot of the orchard games and they all get played quite a lot!

Snakes and ladders
Ludo
Jenga
Hungry Hippos
Orchard toys three little pigs game

^all these are popular with my 4 year old.

For Christmas I've got him Guess Who, Connect 4 and a draughts/checkers game so we'll see how he goes with that.

Smartiepants79 · 29/09/2014 21:24

We have a lovely one from orchard games called monster bingo. My Dd loves it.

tostaky · 29/09/2014 23:06

my two boys (5 and 4) absolutly love Monopoly junior.
They like Guess who too.
I have tried to teach them battleship but they are too young.
I have tried Pictionnary but my 4 years old doesnt like to draw that much so it is a bit limited...

Have fun!

tostaky · 29/09/2014 23:08

And Connect 4 too! They like it but they are not very good at it!
