Four months DS scream to bath and undress

I've seen a similar post last week about scream after taken out of bath. Our DS started his scream from briefly after out of bath (where he kicked and seemed happy). Gradually, after he last jab, he screams to death when we undress him for bath. We've tried:

  • get in with him;
  • undress in an other room;
  • no dress but just cuddle after bath;
  • distract him with his flash lights from baby gym whie undressing and bathing;
  • switch to baby bath, not using the bath seat...

Sunday he screamed so bad we had to give up, now even changing nappy he screams (only in the evening before bed time).

We might be pathyticly weak parents just give in, but we need to wash him any other thing that we can do? It makes the end of the day so depressing.

My dd had a similar strange and unexplained phase. Keep perservering and it will pass is the only advice I can give!

maybe he's overtired and just not up to it - I used to bath ds in middle of the day when he was happy to play and cuddle - he didn't like baths on his own so I took him in with me - now at 12 months he's a real wather baby

Thank for the replies, we probablly going to bath him anyway. We've stopped bath for two days he ends up scream at changing and scream woke up briefly during sleeping. Seems he needs to scream a bit just to go to sleep...
