I am so sick of DS's lies.

Forgive the early morning rant.

I have seriously had enough of DS1 (10) lies.

It's everything that comes out his mouth.

DS have you got you bag packed for school? - Yes (lie) (cue tantrum on the way out the door over a forgotten PE/swimming kit)

DS have you eaten all your lunch today? - Yes - (lie) (I then open it to find it full of manky food)

Do you have homework? - No - (lie) (I then get teachers calling me in to school)

These things then cause mass tantrums when we need to leave the house for school and he finally admits he's done nothing.

Every. Bloody. Day.

I've tried removing privileges, sending him to bed early etc etc but nothing works, he simply doesn't care. Sad

Oh, how frustrating!

Can you do a proper check list? Ie a list that YOU tick off when he can PROVE he has done it?

So he has to show you his homework (you will need teachers' assistance there though to KNOW what he has been given)
You inspect his lunch box,
You inspect all bag preparation the night before

Etc.

Basically you no longer trust him, and he has to build that trust back up.

As of now, you won't believe anything that you don't see yourself.
