DD dropping down growth charts, now 8 years old, should we worry?

DD has just turned eight. She reports being the smallest in her class and I assumed it was because she was the youngest too but I've just looked at growth charts and she is in the 25th centile for height and weight. In itself of course that's not a problem but when she was born, she was about 80th centile so she has dropped quite a way. DH and me are both relatively tall and DS, 2.5 years younger, is in the 91st. Is it something to worry about?

I wouldn't have thought so, as she's proportionate with her height and weight. My DD is like this too (also 8), she's around the 25% centile now but started off at 75th when she was born. I'm tall, as is my DH and we wonder where our dainty little girl came from! My others are both tall for their age, her younger brother has just overtaken her in height.

Oh thank you, that sounds just like us. I'll add it to the list of things not to worry about then - always good when that list gets longer!

Would that make a 5'3 height.
That doesnt sound that small, i would just keep an eye on measuring her
