Two week old tummy issues

My two week old gets really bad wind. It mostly doesn't bother her too much and when it does it doesn't take too long o sort. The problem is that she's a terrible sleeper and I know it's her tummy waking her up. Ill feed her, burp her, hour later down for nap. She sleeps so fitfully and every time she wakes I can hear its her tummy or farts. Then has to be resettled every ten mins or so. I'm reluctant to try infacol because its not like she's in agony, although she is getting very overtired and fractious. But maybe it would help?

I think at 2 weeks old that this might be normal digestion. It's all new to them, and they are having to get used to digesting, and it can seem like they are always burping, farting and wriggling.

The sleep seems completely normal too. Have you considered using a sling instead of putting her down? She might be more relaxed if she can feel you and hear your heartbeat. Just 2 weeks ago she was inside you, constantly hearing your heartbeat and feeling your movement. Sleeping on her own is a big change.

Agree it all sounds pretty normal. The sling is a good idea as not only will it help to settle her it should also help with the wind.

Have you tried feeding her, winding her and then sticking her in a sling or pram and going out for a walk? An hour awake after a feed is a long time for a newborn, it could be the reason for her tiredness.
