Is this a normal phase?

My DD is nearly 2 and has always loved her food. Wolfed down breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed having fruit between meals. Over the last 10 days she has suddenly lost her appetite. She will only have a few mouthfuls of mine or her Dad's breakfast (6.30ish), asks for a snack at around 9.30, barely eats any lunch, asks for a snack and then hardly touches dinner. It doesn't seem to make any difference if I give a snack or not - the snack is only a handful of blueberries or some slices of cucumber. She has been wanting a lot of milk, again if I try to limit it until after she's tried eating a meal it doesn't seem to matter to her food appetite.
She does have 3 teeth coming through at once and I wonder if this affecting her appetite?

I read your post thinking 'teething, definitely teething' and lo and behold...

Both mine did it during teething. Lots of milk, little food. Just keep an eye and watch for signs of illness but ime, yes, it's a common teething symptom.

Yes, agree with Showy, my DD's go totally off their food when teething.

Sometime it helps if I give some teething powder half an hour or so before trying a meal but its hit and miss.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure because she seems completely happy and not in pain. I'll just roll with it!

Was going to say teething here too. Both of mine are big eaters, the only things that can put them off are illness and teeth.

Try not to worry too much, just serve her meals as normal and let her eat as she likes, her appetite will come back.
