So, what if anything should I do about it?! All appropriate filters/parental controls are set up on the computer and ipad so he didn't actually get to see anything except some women in bikinis (I'm impressed google could decipher the spelling). He doesn't know I know - the google tab was left open on the ipad. So how do I handle this?!

Well done for having the filters on!

I'm sure children will just google whatever they hear in the playground - i'd be tempted to just ask him straight out why he was searching for "secsi ledies" and get only let him back on the computer when he can spell misogyny and can use the word in a sentence Wink.

You need to teach him to spell!

My DD2 when 7 searched for 'woman giving birth on an aeroplane'!!!! No idea but had a little chat later that night ;-)

Apparently one of her friends came across something on YouTube and told everyone in the class - so just curiosity but I think you need to start with the sex chats!

Be thankful for bad spelling. My DS googled 'gurls vegines'. He got as far as the search results which were full of really badly spelt porn type comments.

Thank you all, your replies have really made me chuckle Grin . I'm relieved that my initial response of laughing was pretty standard. I wondered if this was a big thing I should be taking seriously. I'll have a chat with him later, I don't want him to end up doing the same thing at a friend's house or at school!
