8 month old screaming

Has anyone found a way of successfully discouraging their baby from screaming? My DD has been doing it for about 2 months and it's driving me insane. I can cope with it when she's upset but the screaming when she's happy? How do I show her how to make happy sounds? haha!

No words of advice I'm afraid but I whole heartedly feel for you. My 9.5 month old DD has been screaming for AGES !!!! And like yours when she's happy too!

There has been no obvious pattern so it would seem she does it completely randomly!

I even took her to a paedeatrician as was convinced there was more to it than meets the eye, but sadly he had no explanation for it either!

I would say though that since the baby babble started the screaming has been a bit less overall, although some days it doesn't feel like it :(
