Leaking Nappies!

I'm sure loads of you have experienced this already. My baby is 6 weeks old. When she does a poo it goes right up her stomach and all over her clothes. I have tried Aldi, Morrisons and Pampers nappies makes no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I only had this when mine were poorly, so I made sure they had easy to get off clothes! Just keep her in baby gro's for now

Trial and error with nappies and you'll probably find the right one that is a good fit. However, this happened to a friend of mine, and she ended up using a swim nappy (type 'splash about happy nappy') into Amazon which is made of neoprene and has cuffs round the waist and legs that help contain explosive poos.

But it should get better as they get bigger and their tummys develop - less dribbly poo!

Think I will give the swim nappies a go!

Get the one the pp recommended, I found the Huggies ones are a bit rubbish.

When this happened with us I bought the plastic pant things that you can put over reusables.

I know this sounds like a really daft question, please forgive me, but are you changing the nappy regularly enough? It helped when I changed before and after every sleep, if the nappy got too wet with wee it wouldn't absorb any poo.

Swim nappies would be a right arse to get on and off at every change. Reusable nappy covers would be a lot more practical as they usually go on like a normal nappy (but with velcro tabs instead of sticky). They are elasticated round the top, which should help contain poo.
