Morning nap?

My 10m old is clearly tired at 9am - clumsy, cries easily looks tired. But when I put him down he just won't nap.

Afternoon nap and night time is all fine. He clearly needs the sleep but won't take it...

Anyone else had the same thing?

Long time since mine were that age, but yes, I do remember them clearly being tired but being totally unwilling to nap.

What time does he get up? How long are his other naps? What time does he go to bed? Does he wake in the night?

You may have to think about changes you can make in the day / routine that will make it easier for him to nap.

Wakes 6-6.30 mostly but stays in his cot until or is woken at 7.

His 1 other nap is most often 1/2 - 3.30ish

He goes down 8-8.30

He has been waking lately crying but then falling back to sleep immediately

Have you tried making his bedtime earlier to rule out the possibility that he needs a longer overnight sleep?

I'm not sure we could... Getting him picked up from the childminder and dinner and actually spending time with him would get in the way
