Is this normal ?

Can anyone tell me if this is normal,-my DS 2.5y is having a major regression, I reckon he has lost about 3 months in the last 3 days.

Was previously dry most days at least until tea time. I caved in yesterday and put him in pull ups as he had 3 accidents before lunch as was going to ikea (blush) he has refused to use the potty or toliet completely today .He is throwing tantrums left right and center having previously got over that again until late in the afternoon.

I am having a baby in 2 weeks and have worked hard on DS's behaviour during the last few weeks (i stopped work at 33 weeks). I was expecting some shock waves when the baby came, but before ?? BTW he started 3 half days at nursery last week is this linked ?

Yes to everything. Sorry. The baby (my dd started wetting herself as soon as the penny dropped that we were going to have another child), and the start at nursery would each be enough to set him off. My instinct would be to let him go backwards, not fight it, but put him bback into nappies. If he wants to use the loo, OK, but otherwise no pressure to do so. It is far easier to cope with two in nappies than with a child who realises that "Muuum! I need the loo now" is the best way of stopping a breastfeed.

Sounds normal to me. He's probably sensing your stress about the baby's arrival. I also think that it's fine for a 2.5 yr old to have accidents. Neither of my sons were toilet trained at that age. I'm impressed.

Thanks I have no problem putting back in pull-ups, my gut instinct was just to treat him a little bit younger.

Was just wondering if he had an infection although he seems fine otherwise no fever good appetite etc. It is unfortunate that the start of nursery is so close to babies birth due to holidays (nursery said was no point in settling then going away)

... THank you again think I will just give him more TLC and offer him the choice of pull ups or pants tommorow. If he wants me to stay at nursery then will.Have to hope not to go back to squaure 1 with potty training . But more stress is not what he needs.
