Try and get out at least once a day but not always possible .... Live in a flat so no garden and although not small, can only really sit in front room..... I started to resort to a bit of tv. Never thought it would be hard finding ways to occupy her

Dc 8 months is an active crawler and cruiser. We would go mad if we didn't go out at least once a day.

Generally we have breakfast and play with toys until 9 when we get dressed, she has a nap and then we go out. If we font go out when she gets up we may do some painting or sensory play (ice cubes/shaving foam/gloop) after we hang out share books on the couch. If I am doing anything then u let her crawl around we have open plan space so she has a few spaces where her toys live and has recently been given a cupboard that she can play in / with items etc. We also do singing and rough/tumble.

Then we have lunch and a nap. In the afternoon we try and hang out in her room for as long as we can plus upstairs so I can do jobs. We look at books she crawls and explores. Then we come down and do what we did in the morning.

We have a treasure basket, basket of books, a tuppaware cupboard, a box of toys, a playpen Downstairs.

Use all the rooms in your house if you can't go out

Bathroom - have bath with baby, bubbles and toys and can pass plenty of time together in bath. Saves bath in eve also, you can read magazines also if poss. Let baby play with bath toys on floor if your getting ready/ doing hair/ cleaning bathroom

Kitchen - pop baby in highchair and let her watch you cook and bake. Let her play with ingredients. Make playdough and let her play with on kitchen floor/ in highchair

Living room - do you have a table? Get her some paper and baby crayons ( just few, chunky size), Aqua draw ( water drawing), megasketch.

Try and get out each day. In terrible weather even letting baby toddle around supermarket holding hands will pass time. Go swimming/ museums/ take up jogging etc

Baby proof you living room and provide some toys and baby books etc and let them go for it.

My 10month old loves to just crawl about grab the odd toy or book and play with them. He loves the musical ones. Depending on toy/book/mood there can be plenty of interaction or lone play.

I do have a pen for when I'm cooking so he can watch. But I used to have him in a chair.
