3yo "babbling" / talking gibberish

.... She does it most days - stream of sounds with the odd word thrown in.

Today it was "ba de lately go bag bad San Diego zoo bubby .,.,," sort of thing repeated for about half an hour.

I don't know if it's common, but 3.7yo ds is making up words and inserting them into sentences. I imagine it's all part of them exploring language and is therefore probably normal. It's coincided with him becoming aware that in different places, people speak in different languages...
