Smiling?

I am longing to see my 6 week old dd smile. She smiles and even giggles in her sleep - and she has smiled at other people, including dh, the health visitor and the osteopath - but not at me, not once! What am I doing wrong? it's really upsetting me.

Hi Stargazing, Annoying isn't it my ds was exactly the same. He smiled at anyone and everyone, but me!! I felt totally unappreciated!! Be comforted by the fact that your dd can't really see you yet and is actually smiling at sounds that are unfamiliar. The first time my ds smiled at me properly I cried, the most special moment I had, and totally worth the wait, be patient when she realises what you look like all the best biggest smiles will be for her mum!! When she smiles at someone else, it's wind. When she does smile at you it'll be real!

She'll be smiling at you any day now.
