Moving house with a one year old.

Any tips?

The thought of it is daunting enough. We move next week and have not started packing yet

Shes just turned one. She's a terrible sleeper and I'm worried that the small progress we have made will be instantly wiped out with the move.

And we will be moving again in 3 months time!

I'd try and keep the same bedding on her bed for a couple of days after you move so it still smells familiar. Keep to the same routine she has now at bed time. Do whatever you can to make it the same for her when you first move so its less unsettling for her.

This helped our dd when we moved to our own house at about the same age. She seemed to take it well even though she was going into her own room for the first time.

We did it. DD had her first birthday on the Tuesday, we moved on the Friday.
Just keep to routine, and try to make the bedroom as similar to the old house. DD settled straightaway.
Oh, and we only started packing 2 days before we moved! We got it done somehow...

I moved when DD was 18 months and she was fine straight away. Her main concern was all her stuff would be coming too. So as long as you have the same things around her as she's used too especially bedtime soft toys etc I bet she'll be fine. Try and make it upbeat too. They smell fear!
