How old was your lo when they dropped to one nap?

My dd is 11 months old and today for the first time she stayed awake until after lunch, then just had the one nap. She's actually never been great at napping and normally only ever sleeps 20-30mins morning and afternoon.

I found this to be fabulous because come 7pm tonight she fell asleep immediately and I haven't heard a peep since! But I'm wondering if this is too soon to drop a nap, what do you think?

|My ds started at 11/12 months, just the odd one to start with, so some days he'd have one, some days still needed 2. Took til he was around 15 months before he could manage every day on just one. hth

Thanks. I might just see how she goes over the next few days then, it's possible it was a one off. However not having to battle at bedtime has been amazing tonight - I'm even enjoying a nice quiet glass of wine Grin happy days!

My ds started having only 1 nap really early, possibly 8/9 months. He was exhausted by the evening but we had a really early (5pm) bedtime and that seemed to work better than encouraging him to nap twice.

DS is 17m and usually still has two naps. Once every week or so he'll only have one, but then we have to put him to bed earlier...which means he wakes up earlier the next morning and then needs two naps that day. (Secretly I prefer two naps because he sleeps longer overall in the day - up to 3 hrs+; with one nap he often only sleeps for an hour and a half Hmm)
