oh dear, I don't know what to do, can you go and buy the same bear and hope that dd3 accepts that one?

mind you how old is dd1 maybe you can't get one, oh dear

misdee · 09/09/2006 16:18

its 6.5years old, and very worn. its very well loved by dd1. i think she is going to have to hide it from dd3 isnt she?

What sort of bear is it?

misdee · 09/09/2006 16:20

its from toys r us, i'll see if i can find a pic.

we went to the toy shop today, just me and dd3 + the bear, i tried offering her every single soft toy in the shop but she was not interested.

oh dear, yes she is going to have to hide it, there is no way unfortunately that dd3 can have it, it' dd1's special bear. maybe it has something to do with it being dd1's, does she have another bear or something that she wouldn't mind giving to dd3, maybe one that she has slept with a bit cause perhaps its that it smells of her or something

i know dd3 cant have it, dd1 would have a hissy fit, and its dd1, dh buys all the babies a first bear and dd1 has clung onto this fact since dh first became ill.

there are loads of soft toys in this house, but they all want the same one. typical lol.

poor you, I hope you manage to sort something out, I can't think what else you could do.
let us know how it goes tonight or if you find a replacement for dd3

Elibean · 09/09/2006 17:02

Oh poor you, and poor both dds Misdee...I agree, dd1 is going to have to hide it. Would it help if the 'hiding' came under the guise of Bear going into hibernation in a cave of some sort?? My dd is much younger than your dd1, but I use all sorts of make believe where her Cat is concerned...

And maybe dd3 will take Bear being gone better, if its because Bear has gone off to look for berries/sleep or something...

lanismum · 09/09/2006 17:57

as a temporary solution, would dd1 let dd3 lend it just to go to bed with, then you can sneak him away once shes asleep and give him back to dd1? maybe dd3 will go off it after a few nights?
