A friend has a dd who is 10 now and has continued from about the age of 7 to rock herdelf to sleep.By that I mean hummimg to herself and rocking to and fro to get to sleep.

I had heard that this can sometimes continue to a later age and is a comfort thing.
Anyone else come across this.

hello batout of hell yes ive come across this
my dh does this he is 38 and has done it all his life as far back as he can remember its a compulsive thing for him but apart from not giving the mattress a long lease of life it doesnt really bother me.

My 15yo dd does it and my sister used to. Not sure if sis still does, will have to ask her.
