TEETHING - Anyone elses child get a cough when they 're teething ???

Ds is 15 mths and a cough again seems to have appeared from no where. It started this morning and is a very tickly cough.
He has also got bad nappy rash and is generally pretty grumpy aswell.
I'm pretty sure he is teething, and seem to remember him having a cough whilst teething before.
Does this happen to anyone else ??

Nutty, mine have all had a runny nose/cold and nappy rash, together with horrible (well, more horrible than usual!) nappies.

Ds always had a cold and cough with lots of projectile vomiting for good measure when he was teething - my mum assured me that I was the same!

Yes, dd didn't have any teeth for ages then a whole bunch came at once. And along with them came a cough, rashes on bum and mouth and foul nappies. I'm pretty sure it's from all the excess saliva. As long as the cough's not too hacking or croupy-sounding I'd say it's connected with the teething. Dd's cough lasted ages, if I remember.

my dd had a slight summer cold last year when she was teething the first set of molars, no cough though. Teething again now and luckily nothing but very yukky nappies though. Oh the joys of it!!

Oh well at least it should clear up soon then.
Poor Ds has got a bum like a strawberry and is dribbling for england.

Very interesting. My 1yr old has just got the bottom 2 molars through and has been sick a few times, yellow vile nappies and a bad cough..... Thanks for asking Nutty, helped me out

yep nutty, my dd gets very ill when teething
so far its been
flu at xmas - 2 molars
measles in January/Feb 2 more molars
and now in March its a vomiting bug we suspect canines.
Also ditto re the nappy rash, we have upped the water (she throws up most everything else anyway) this has helped de ammonia her wee
And we have cough cough vomit, snotty nose and grumpy as hell child. Very sad
