When should a 3 year old be able to do a 6 piece puzzle?

She never been great at puzzles apart from the wooden peg ones. She really does try but she just can not doing them. She's such a bright child I don't understand it!

I don't know if there is a particular age when they 'should' be doing them.

Maybe she's just not interested in them yet.

FWIW at my son's pre school (so for children aged 3-5), they still put out simple peg puzzles, or 3 piece puzzles.

Are her motor skills ok in other areas?

Normally somewhere between 2 and 3. It varies child to child though and depends a lot on whether they like puzzles or not.

What does she struggle with, the putting it together? Or looking at the picture and finding the right piece?
