Almost 5y old, said she 'wanted to kill herself'

i mean i have to presume this is normal ? am i right? she was tired , had a tantrum about something petty and shouted it out in a rage. where did she get that from? how does she know people kill themselves? i quickly helped her calm down. She is clever, highly strung/emotional. I have slight worries that she is perfectionist and hope she doesnt end up like me as a teen with serious mental health issues. Should i be taking this further in any way - see HV re tantrum management? i have been reading books on managing behaviour. i think it must be a throw away comment...

I wouldn't worry too much just yet but I would keep an eye on her. She could easily of overheard someone say this on the TV or out and about.

It must be hard to know how to react.
