ive searched what the average height for a 1 year old is but everywhere gives diferent answeres, my baby was born tiny at 5'5 and only about 16'' long, at 1 year old he is 28'' just wondering if this is between the averages? alot of people comment that hes short but ive seen alot of babies shorter, I am 5ft and his dads 6'2 so could go either way!

Hi janexx
My 1st DS was 6wks prem W 5'7 and was 14inch long by the time he was 1 His W was over 2stone and he was 33inch tall, at 2yrs he was 2stone 8, and 36inch tall He'll be 3 this aug and is around 2 1/2 stone and is approx 40inch tall. Every1 inc docs say he's really big for his age, allways have been told this, I was told by the time their 2 1/2 they've reached half the height they will be as adults, I think your DS is prob average, dont worry, they have growth spurts, when I was around 8yrs old I was half a head taller than my brother, who's 2 1/2yrs older than me, now i'm 5ft 7 he's 5ft 11. Also My DH is a quarter inch shorter than me, I'm sure both my boys will tower above us both.

2ft4 puts him just under 25th so just on the smaller side of average
