My 19mth ds keepstaking his pjs off and pulling his nappy off before he falls to sleep. It is driving me mad. Ive not tried using pull ups as he used to do the same with them. Ive told him its naughty and i don't know what else to do other than wrap him up with tape!!

Why is it that they want to be naked at the most inappropriate times. My dd2 used to pull nappy off, she got through it though. Having said that she didn't stand a chance against the superglue.

My dts do this, you might joke, but I do selotape the nappies on

juicychops · 02/09/2006 20:52

i have thought about scelotape and i might have to resort to it. He looks so cute laying in his cot naked but if i left him he would greet me with sheets soaked with wee or other surprises!!

dd used to do this so i put her nappies on back to front and she couldnt reach the tabs to take them off it might work depends on how long his arms are!!

juicychops · 02/09/2006 21:30

Thats a good idea actually. Im gunna try that tomorrow night

my ds did that once and yes there was a nasty suprise in the bed the next morning
i now make sure he wears a vest the type that has poppers at the crotch so he can't get to the tapes
good luck

nulnulcat · 02/09/2006 21:34

good luck!! i found it easier to get them on her that way to as from 12 months onwards she always rolled over and tried to crawl off!

dreamteamgirl · 02/09/2006 23:03

My friends DTs do this. She puts the vest on back to front so the poppers are round the back where they cant reach

wanderingstar · 02/09/2006 23:18

What about a grobag?

100Vicki · 03/09/2006 20:54

My ds (16 months) started doing this last month. I tried putting the nappy on back to front and that was fine for about a week but he soon learnt that if he pulled really hard on the front of the nappy then it would come off.

I'm now putting him in pyjamas with poppers at the crotch and this is working so far!

Miaou · 03/09/2006 20:57

You could always use a poppered nappy wrap, the sort you use with cloth nappies. The poppers are really hard to undo.

littlerach · 03/09/2006 21:03

we put proper knickers on DD2 as she has a tendancy to dot his.

ilovecaboose · 03/09/2006 21:06

Ds does this so we put him to bed in vests with the poppers at the bottom - he can't undo these yet. Either that or a pair of pants over the top.

You know as soon as you find a solution to this he'll find something else to do!
