Hungry Baby Formula

Hi - I am new to all of this so apologies for my misuse of the correct acronyms!! But I have a question regarding Hungry Baby Formula.
My DS is now 14 wks, for 12 wks he was exclusively BF but since 12 wks I have started using Aptamil 1 while gradually reducing my BF. We are now down to 1 BF a day (usually the 7am feed) and the rest is formula but he will only go a max of 3 hours between feeds even during the night. He is taking 6oz per feed and won't take much more otherwise he sicks it back up. I don't want to wean him early so was thinking of changing to hungry baby milk, what is everyones experience of this? Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated.

I used it and it seemed to settle everything down, but I would double check with your health visitor just to be sure, I didn't but probably should have but never had trouble doing it.

The formula companies all have a 24 hour helpline

I don't understand why you want to swap to hungry baby milk? Is it due to the 3 hr feeding? That's still within the realms of normal feeding patterns at 14 weeks, unfortunately.

Do you have a partner who can share some of the evening/nighttime feeds so that you can get some more sleep?

Also you shouldn't be considering weaning before 17 weeks at all, assuming your baby is otherwise well and was full term.

I was more concerned about over feeding him and thought the hungry baby milk may satisfy him for longer. I will give my HV a call and discuss with her. Thanks everyone.
