9month old not moving around

Just wondering when this becomes something to go to the doctor about.

He can roll front to back but that is all he does when you put him on his front. He rocks a lot when sitting - bouncing his high chair, rocking his pram which seems to be intentional.

He use to roll back to front but hates being on his front so stopped.

I think it is worth checking if a child is not at all mobile at a year old. I think many 9 month olds are not crawling and lots of babies don't do that rolling around the room thing.

My DS was like this. He didn't move at all until 2 weeks before his 1st birthday. He could roll, and bum shuffle, but just didn't bother using it as a movement 'device'. He did eventually crawl at 1YO and then walked at 18MO. Try and enjoy it - all my friends with babies a similar age were v envious as I had a few months extra of not having to worry about destruction as much!
