Hi all,
My baby is 15 weeks and her 'language' has changed a bit recently and I was wondering if this was to be expected at her age. She used to coo a lot but she hasn't done that much recently- she has started making a high pitched shrieking noise instead! Should I be concerned?
TIA Smile

That sounds like what my DD did at a similar age, the shriek still hasn't disappeared now at nearly 8 months, get used to it Grin
I think they do go through sudden bursts of development in different areas, look into the Wonder Weeks for some explanation.
Congratulations on your DD.

Thanks I will do that!

That's a big "oooh look what noise I've just discovered" Grin. If you're lucky it'll only last a couple of weeks.

We experienced this. The lovely cooing babbling was replaced by shrieking, and now the most determined growly/shouting and laughing (7m). I think his babbling should be 'better' by now, but his priorities are on physical activity; crawling and standing.

This is good she is developing her language , volume , intonation and cause of language. This is all the building blocks to talking.
Sounds potty but make noises back at her so your having a conversation. Babbling and screaming will come next. The screeching doesn't last too long.
