How do I know if my baby has sleep apnea?

My DD wakes up every hour at night. Has been doing so since 4 months (now 11 months).

She sweats ALOT in her sleep (sheets are always wet) and moves around a lot in bed.

Could she have sleep apnea?

If not sleep apnoea then another sleep issue although it does sound like sleep apnoea. I would ask your GP to refer her to an ENT specialist who may then commission a sleep study (we did this with our DC). Good luck.

If you sleep next to a child with sleep apnoea you cannot mistake it. If you baby isn't waking up gasping for air every few seconds I don't think you need to worry about that.

Children do get very hot in bed and it is warm weather at the moment.

Goldmanra, thanks! That isn't happening thankfully, she does sleep for 2 hours sometimes in the daytime without waking up.

Appalling sleep and sweating are symptoms of a cows milk protein intolerance. About 30% of los are thought to have it in their first few years but thankfully most grow out of it. Other signs are eczema, colic in the early weeks, reflux symptoms, awful nappies, sleeping better upright, piss poor weight gain or conversely v rapid weight gain due to comfort. Not all babies have all symptoms.

Try putting fewer clothes on her at night also?
