My 5mo keeps pulling her own hair! It's always the same side and only when feeding...Is this normal?

This sort of thing can be habit forming so be careful. Could you try distracting with something like a string of beads?

It's a normal comfort thing. Try giving DD a little piece of something silky feeling to hold in that hand. I gave DD a cami vest cut up! Worked a treat :) She was still a little bald that side for a while tho!

It's common, but can become a problem. I put Vaseline on their hair so they can't get a good enough grip to pull it out

My 9mo DD does this when she's tired and having a bottle-luckily she hasn't pulled any out! I think it's a comfort thing, she also likes to feel the labels on clothes

Definitely a comfort thing - I give DS something to fiddle with while he feeds. Sometimes a teddy, sometimes the belt of my dressing gown or sometimes he just flicks away at the clip of my bra! I'll do anything to stop him pulling my hair :(

You can buy nursing necklaces specially designed for the fiddling as well.
