Self-discipline???

My DS is 7 and behaves fairly well if i am around BUT if I'm not he does/says everyhting he knows he's not to!!!

how can you teach self-discipline?? is there a book that talks about it?

it worries me for the future really; if he is like this now, what is he going to be like as a teenager with a group of friends??

who si he with if you arent around?
is that school too?

at school he is the class clown [mad]; not really bad but bad enough!
if he goes to a friends for tea he finds it hard to be good! but can't lie and say he was good when he gets home.
genereally when he is with anyone his age.
