9 month old biting me!

My 9mo ds2 has just discovered this lovely sharp thing inside his mouth. He loves making mummy wriggle and yelp! Any bit of spare flesh he can find, in goes the tooth! I still have two holes in my hand from where he bit me 20 minutes ago.

Is there a way of stopping him doing this? Or is it just a case of riding it out, and eventually he'll get bored once the novelty has worn off? If this is the case, does anybody have a spare suit of armour lying about the place?

I would say "oww and no" in a firm voice and either move away from him if playing on the floor or put him down if your holding him.

If you are consistant he will stop as not the reaction he gets anything from.

Thanks for that, I will try that. I do say 'No' to him, but unfortunately is usually preceded by a flinch and an 'argh! get off me!'. Thanks again.
