Which baby gate to get????????

Just bought baby dan gate and tried to fix it today!
DP is heating engineer and very good with his hands iyswim and after 2 hours it is not fixed at all well and to be honest is crap!! Can anyone recommend a decent one?

we got the ikea ones there only £10 each and have been used in three different houses

We have two of these Lindam ones. Absolutely brilliant! We have the middle on in the picture and I think they are cheaper in toys r us

When I bought a Lindam gate I found that kiddicare.com were the cheapest place to get it. And I didn't have to go and fetch it either!

I have lindam metal ones and wood ones and also a roller blind style one - lots of stairs and diff side gaps

We also bought the lindam stairgate and put it at ds bedroom door to keep him in his room when he went into a bed. Only problem was ds is a climber and after a while easily climbed over the gate. We have just bought a new lindam gate but it is a dog control gate!!! It is from argos and is much higher. So far it has solved the climbing problem.

my dd at 14 months and my friends ds at 16 months sussed how to open the lindam gates. ( the easy close one) they poke their fingers into the bit that actually pushes in and locks rather than do it the adult way. so if you have a child who is determined this one can be mastered. however the travel one has yet to be sussed as it is material. but is more akward to open and close. hth
