Advice on how to control my 6year olds behaviour

My 6year ds is SO cheeky how can I handle this.He ignores me when I point out how cheeky he is being.

Look bored, yawn, change the subject, go and hang washing out is the recommended method for preschoolers.

Can you get a copy of Dr Christopher Greens book about 5-12 year olds. Ds is only 3, so I've ready toddler taming - and he makes the very good point that the child want a reaction/attention and will keep going until he/she gets it.

So you may have to ignore some really quite bad stuff whilst he realises it's not going to work.
