At 9 months my LO doesn't really do much and I don't know whether I should worry, she has no idea how to crawl and can't get on her knees or even make any attempt to, she can't hold herself up standing and doesn't try and spends lost of the time just sitting still! She cries if she goes from sitting to her tummy! She also doesn't babble much only the odd baba every so often js this normal? So many babies by now seem so advanced in comparison

Can she sit well on her own? I think that's the main thing at this age. 9 months is still very little.

The more time on the floor the better to build up muscles. Sitting unsupported will help progress to crawling.
You can demonstrate crawling to her and encourage her to try.
So not too much time in pushchairs, car seats etc
Maybe not handing her toys, leaving things a bit further away
Some start with army crawling until they can bear the weight on their arms.

She spends most of her day on the floor at home but just sits there she has gone sitting to belly but she cries and lies On her front just still! She has never even got her legs up under her!

Mine is 10.5mo and not crawling, she has only recently started to tolerate being on her front and propping herself up. She is fine just lazy!

Is your DD shuffling about or rolling or anything? Does she reach for things? Plonk her on the floor as much as possible and don’t be tempted to pass her things or sit her up when she grumbles, that frustration will help her get going. Lots of praise when she moves at all.

She spends most of the day on the floor but just can't do anything she has never even been able to get her legs to go anywhere but just flat out behind her and just cries most of time on her front even in bed she sometimes rolls on her front and then just cries she has no interest in going anywhere at all

Honestly mine was like that until very recently, she suddenly just started to accept she was on her front and tried to move instead of crying. I wouldn’t worry yet, but what are you concerned is wrong? Mine went for an exam and hip scan with a paed, perhaps talk to a HV or GP and see if they can refer you to have her looked at to put your mind at rest.

Should she make noises now? My friends son says nana dada and babbles but she just screams and sometimes says ba

I would expect some noise by now but she may catch up soon, do you think her hearing is alright? Does she turn to look at noises from another room for example. Does she look at you when you speak to her? I think you need to have a chat with a HV and see what they think, just to put your mind at rest.

My hv just says she needs more sleep and that is the problem! They are very unhelpful here because they are over stretched and short staffed, I just seepage of babies much smaller doing things she can't even do yet
