Single MMR vaccine

Hello all!
I am going to ask a question that will have been inevitably asked before, but i don't want my 12m old daughter to have the combined MMR vaccine. I would like to no if anyone has vaccinated singulary, and what are your experiences of it? Where did you get it done safely?

I dont even think you can get the single mumps vaccine at the moment. What are your issues with the MMR? Have you done any research on the MMR jab or the alternatives?

Yup - we went the single vaccine route, no regrets. I personally think that the mumps vaccine is pretty ineffective - in the largest most recent outbreak of mumps in scotland everyone had had the vaccine. I guess it might be available again in the future.

my brother never got the MMR and ended up deaf in one ear after a bout of mumps - there was an outbreak when he was in his teens and a lot of unvaccinated students were affected (Scotland).

The most recent outbreaks in Scotland involved people who had only 1 does of MMR (used to only get 1 dose rather than 2) so it is advised to get both doses to maximise protection.

We are currently thinking about this - usual GP has told us we can have single shots at the surgery, will just need to pay (haven't found out cost yet), and let them know in advance so they can order them in.

Thanks everyone for your help! I just would rather not risk anything, especially as i have the ability to do separate jabs, i believe there is no right or wrong answer in this by the way, i would just prefer separate jabs! My GP would tell me nothing, and said he couldn't comment! I just need somewhere that is safe, and i am unsure how to find somewhere!
Thanks again it is nice to see parents doing separate jabs and having no regrets!

I researched the single vaccine route and I couldn't do it as no mumps. What I have done though is delay the mmr as I feel i wanted to see how ds developed. Also I did a bit of research (over a year ago so i can't get it all to hand) which basically said that the older they were the more robust they were to standing up to it. I plan for him to have the combined at 2
