Trust me, this is completely normal behaviour for a 7 yr old girl...I have the grey hairs to prove it, and so do all her friend's mothers. How are things at school?

Mine is not rude or out of control. I'm not saying she's perfect!

I think if she is only doing it to you then she's just testing you out. I try to never give in so if I've said something, then I stick to it even if it's inconvenient. And that works both ways. If I say I will do something with her or for her then I stick to that. I suppose it makes them feel secure. They know they can rely on you.

I also try to be fair. Or considerate I suppose I mean. So I tell her 10 minutes before we leave the park. I help her find a certain piece of her lego when she asks. Like I would if she was a grown up.

Thanks for the reply, things at school are fine, shes doing well and i suppose its just another "stage"! I think ur very right savoycabbage it is important to stick to things and i think we all forget that sometimes, well i do! But how do i get through this stage with her and does it end?
