Hi
My 5 yr old isn't at school yet, he starts in august but I'm still not sure if he's right or left handed. He seems to use his right hand more but when drawing will often switch hands. Do I leave him to it or encourage him to stick to one hand?
Thanks

My eldest did this until he was halfway through reception in school.
It was noted by the teachers. He chose to be left handed soon after though. He said he did it because one hand got tired!

I'd just leave it for now.

I used to put a pen in the middle of the table and said 'pass me that please' to see which hand he'd use and do other things like that. It was always the left - I wanted to see which hand was dominant.
