Hi my dd is a lovely, kind, caring child. She is a bit of a roughty toughty girl and loves rough play but is generally a lovely kid.
The problem I'm having is in nursery she is often lashing out, hitting, kicking and scratching other children!
She has never been great tolerating children her own age and much prefers older children to play with.
It is upsetting when collecting her that I am thinking 'what's happened today'. I talk with her about why she has done these things and how to cope with these emotions.
Has anyone else had a similar experience that can offer advice?
Many thanks

My DD did a lot of biting and scratching
She could well be over stimulated. Could you talk to the staff and ask if they can make sure she gets regular chill out times. It is really their job to look for strategies as you are not there with her
You could keep her nails short, file them as well as trim them as they are very sharp. She is unlikely to know why she does these things
Have they noticed any pattern? could she be tired/hungry/too excited
