Today I have noticed a small hard lump directly under one of my 7 mo DD's nipples. I'm really worried about it. Does anyone have any idea what it could be???

My dd had this. I took her to the GP who said that it was caused by residual hormones and the lump would go by the time she was 2. She was right, and it did. Are you breastfeeding, or did you breastfeed?

My youngest has one just under her nipple too, she was around 15 months when i noticed it. Gp said it was nothing to worry about, said something about it being a hormonal thing. Its still there now and shes 3 and a half, everytime shes at gp or sees health visitor i mention it and am always told that its fine.
I would take your little one to have it checked but im sure its fine.

I breastfed her for the 1st 3 months then combination fed until she was 5 months old and since then she has been fully on formula. My 1st DD was exclusively breastfed for the 1st 6 months and I never noticed a lump on her. I mentioned it to my sister today and she said something about it being hormone related but I didn't believe her! She is pregnant with DC8 so maybe I should start believing what she says!

My GP said it's to do with hormones passed from mother to child either in utero or via breast milk. I only breastfed for a month.

When I was feeling it she seemed like she was in pain which worried me

My DD had this too, just under one nipple. It did go (GP said same - nothing to worry about just watch it)

My DD is 4 wo and also has a lump, I freaked a little but HV and doctor have both assured me that it is hormone related and completely normal.

My dd had this at a younger age,in both breasts. It did just go away, and I was told the same thing (residual hormones, completely normal and common).

My DD had a pea sized lump under her nipple, which i was told as others have said was hormonal etc. but then i noticed it seemed to be painful, and actually turned out to be an abscess. The signs were that the nipple got red and hot over the course of a few days. So just keep an eye on it x
