9wks, too soon for teething?

Hello Grin

Ds was born at 37weeks and was/is small for dates. He was 4lb 1oz at birth and is 6lb 10oz at 9weeks. He has watery poo at the times he would usually poo (so isn't pooing more than usual). Dr said he isn't dehydrated which was my fear.

He cries a lot for no apparent reason in the afternoon, could he be teething? He doesn't have a high temp and isn't being sick.

What do you think?

How's it going this afternoon?

Yes, it could be teeth (they turn up any time), or random bug, or just unlucky coincidence.

Yesterday afternoon was better as he slept a lot! Probably to do with going for a walk in the pram and travelling in the car!

Have decided he is eternally hungry so I just need to feed him!Grin

DS cried randomly in pain from 8 weeks old. I used to give him ashton and parson's teething powders, which used to work really well. I have no idea if it was his teeth, but it did eventually stop.

Not impossible my dd had a tooth at 12 weeks. He's not a bit hungry is he? Could be a growth spurt

My DD showed teething signs from about 9 weeks, the actual teeth showed up at 5 months. I think they a) just grizzle and have runny poo etc etc because they're mysterious babies and b) the teeth move lots in the gums before they pop through.
IMO teething powder is a bit of a waste of money, but I'm not keen on homeopathy...

I am pretty sure it is hunger!

I have ordered an amber necklace for when the time comes! Grin
