School shoes for long narrow feet

DD aged 8 is tall as am I and has very long feet (size 6/7). I am currently having to buy her black high top trainers for school which is unacceptable. Does anyone know where I can get very narrow and supportive school shoes for her in a size 6/7. Her feet and ankles are D width which start rite were able to supply up to size 5. Now we are stuck and she's still growing. I was 6' tall at aged 11 and spent teens in Doc Maartens. Subsequently they damaged my growing feet and I had to have bunion removal performed at only 16 years of age. I really want to do the best for her and would appreciate some tips or advice.

No advice but I sympathise as I similarly wrecked my rather large feet in my teens by ramming them into too small fashionable shoes. My 4 year old DD looks to be heading for huge feet too so I anticipate problems later.

Have you spoken to a podiatrist? Having seen one as an adult for foot related problems I understand they can be of help for children with "problem" feet too, and may be able to advise on good shoe options?
