What size is your 3/4 year old?

Dd is 4 next month, very tall on the 90th centile and just had her feet measured. She's 9.5F which to me sounds huge!! Does that sound in proportion to her height?

Meant to say, she's tall but in age appropriate clothes.

that doesn't sound particulary big tbh. DS is small and aged 4.5 but just gone into size 9 shoes.

Around that age my DN was in size 11 shoes

Ds was an 11 when he was 4. Started school 4 days before his 5th birthday in a 12.5. 91st centile height though.

Sounds small to me! DD2 has been 4 for a few months she was a 11F in november (so probably higher now) keep delaying the new shoe buying thing Blush
She is on top of the curves though, and in 6 yo clothes. Saying that in nursery her shoes do look ridiculous compared to her peers'.

DS2 was 4 a couple of weeks ago and is 11.5, he's pretty tall too. DS1 was a 10.5 when he started school (just turned 4) and average height

Ds1 was 4 last month. He's a size 9. I think he's fairly average height.

CecilyP · 06/04/2014 12:26

I think that size 9 is completely average for a 4 year old - the same size as DS who was also average height. As others have said, size 11 or 12 is big for a 4 year old.

DD2 aged 4 is size 2 1/2D. I have just posted about my DD1 aged 8 enjoins size 6D. I think there first shoe at aged 18mths was a 9Confused

mejon · 06/04/2014 15:20

My 7.5yo Dd1 is a size 11 and just turned 3yo Dd2 is a 6 or 7 depending on the brand of shoe. Both are small for their ages.

Just had DD's measured today, she is 4 next week and is a 10.5F. Maybe slightly tall for her age but not been measured in ages so not sure. I asked a couple of friends what their DDs of the same age are and both said size 9.

Sadly it is written in my DD's genes- I am a size 8.5-9 and not massively tall at 5 ft 8. I really wish she wasn't heading for such a huge size as me as, particularly in my teens, finding shoes I liked in a size that fitted was hell and I wrecked my feet ramming them into too small fashionable shoes. I think shoe manufacturers are waking up to larger feet sizes for women a bit more now, though.
