My little boy is doing well, but does his biggest chunk of sleep between 7-11pm or 8-12am...then will usually feed at 3 or 4am but recently been having a few feeds after 12am. Any suggestions?

I'd rather him feed lots up to 12am and have the big chunk if sleep from then lol!

Sorry no advice but I am in the same boat with my 6 week old I have been up since 2.30 now because she doesn't go to sleep after her middle of the night feed. Do we need to wait for the magic 3 months when everything settles down?

qumquat · 07/04/2014 08:43

We've just hit 3 months and after only one feed between midnight and 7 since 2 months, she's now demanding three! So there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

I have a 9 wo boy and he was awake for 2+ hours after the 4am feed. Last night he fell asleep after 30mins feeding so I put him back in his Moses basket. We have Ewan the dream sheep which I put on and he slept. Got to sleep until 7am then! It doesn't necessarily get better I'm afraid, just different Smile

8-9 weeks is growth spurt stage so expect some unsettled nights ! Grin

Totally normal pattern. It means you can also get a solid chunk of sleep early on (sleep before midnight is the most beneficial) and then it doesn't matter so much when you're up in the early hours.

Even though I do get that early chunk of sleep, getting up fir the morning feed is still a killer! Shock

I do feel your pain. DS2 (now 12m) was still having night feeds up until 2 weeks ago.
